Salamander
The salamander is a serpent with a body so cold it can survive in fire and even put the fire out (right). If is also extremely poisonous. If a salamander climbs into a well the water becomes poisonous (left); if it climbs into a fruit tree, all of the fruit becomes poisonous (center). The man at the bottom has foolishly eaten the fruit and so is doomed.
